Lamia. Ink, charcoal, and white pencil on toned paper

in art •  8 years ago  (edited)

This Is my version of the Greek mythological creature Lamia. In the myth, Lamia is a mistress of the god Zeus. Zeus's wife isn't really having that so she kills Lamia's children and turns her into a child eating demon.lamia_by_lucas_elliott-dakkdsy.jpg

I imagine a scenario taking place in a small logging town and those rascally kids just keep disappearing. Short story anyone?

So cool!

Lamia distraught over her children. Over her mothers milk, tears claws and knawing at the village children, revenge upon a zeuses kingdom.
