    The role of meditation is to help the practitioner cope with stress without running away from the pain and suffering of some situations, explained Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., and director of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center to Psychology Today magazine

Stress is the response to the demands placed on the body and mind. The more distressed by pain or anxiety, the worse you will feel and it will have physiological consequences
If you can learn to feel comfortable within pain or anxiety, the experience will be completely changed. You're not trying to make the pain go away

  1. Meditation helps in multitasking activities in a stressful environment

Applying multitasking can be a challenge, and the study by researchers at the University of Washington assessed the effects of meditation on the multitasking behavior of workers in a high-stress environment

Three groups of 12 to 15 people were tested as follows: Group A underwent 8 weeks of mindfulness meditation training. Group B (the control group) waited a waiting period and then participated in the same 8-week meditation training. Group C applied 8 weeks of body relaxation training.
