Strike is an API for easily accepting Lightning payments. From a technical point of view, the service works as follows: ACINQ receives and aggregates incoming payments, and then periodically sends on-line transactions to the recipient's wallet. In other words, companies can offer their customers instant and cheap payments, receiving funds through the usual on-line transaction.

"We only charge a 1% fee for payments. At the same time, automatic payments to your wallet are free, because we carry out their batching among merchants. The threshold value of the amounts for automatic withdrawal can be set in the range of 0.1–1 BTC," the company's blog notes.

Also, users can make a payment to the wallet manually, but in this case they will have to pay a Commission of 0.5 mBTC.

According to representatives of ACINQ, though the use of the Strike and suggests the need to trust a third party, the level of risk is minimal, since the service every time it sends onchain transaction, when the total volume reaches user-configured threshold.

"For example, if you set the threshold for withdrawal to 0.1 BTC, then you will never trust us with an amount exceeding 10 million Satoshi»

Documentation on setting up the service Strike and account registration are available here.

The developers also noted that currently work is underway on the integration of Strike with the WooCommerce plugin. In addition, ACINQ is considering partnering with canadian Internet company Shopify, which specializes in the development of software for online and retail stores. The company serves 500 thousand trading companies with a total trade turnover of $45 billion.
