The US has quite the dilema with Bitcoin, which path will they take?

The US loses no matter what path it takes with Bitcoin...

We are at an interest crossroads as it relates bitcoin and US adoption.

On the one hand if they embrace bitcoin, it undermines their position as the financial leader with the world's reserve currency.

On the other hand, if they push it away, the talent and prosperity that comes along with the industry goes with it and the US falls behind other more forward looking countries.

It's a lose lose really...

Well they can certainly try, the good thing with bitcoin is that it's extremely mobile. It will always move towards more favorable jurisdictions. So, you really just need one open to Bitcoin and it's just fine.
