6 reasons why bitcoin may not crash right now

Every time Bitcoin formed a price base in the past, a rise in price followed.

It has done this about 5-6 times before, most of the time after big bubbles.

Most importantly after the last 3 bubbles it has formed such a baseline with low volatility before rallying into the next bubble.

There are many that believe bitcoin is going down further.

In particular, there are a few analysts that I really respect such as woobull.com and Tone Vays, that believe the price will go down further, while being overall Bitcoin bulls.

One particular Indicator by Willy Woo is very convincing ( http://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-nvt-ratio/ ):

Yet

Bitcoin has never formed a strong base like right now with low volatiltiy and crashed afterward.

If you are convicted you should bet on it! And I do agree with you. But i think it may be unlikely

Dear Knircky, it is very important what you are showing about the hystory of Bitcoin, i never saw such trend.
There are 2 kinds of predictions, both think that rally will be, but first is predict that market will not change in this year, others think there will be same bubble like last year, even bigger.
In my opinion the market cap is almost the same of last year november, but the difference is that there was half coins than now, so my position is more near to the first predictions even i dream i am mistaken...:)

I hope the price goes down a little bit more, I want another chance to buy in cheap!

That does look like a solid support. One concern I have is - Will hodlers be selling by the end of the year for tax purposes, so they can claim losses?

Well hope the price goes down a little bit so that I can buy and reap more profits but bitcoin will rise. If not now, it will on one fine day.

I'm currently holding long positions on BTC at Bitmex, and the last weeks have brought me some profit, but I'm still taking profits before 6500USD. However, I'm definitely returning back to long positions at 6400 and avoiding shorts...

they say history repeats itself!

I think you're probably right. I've been seeing Bitcoin bounce off of the $6,400ish level for a while now and just keep thinking that it's primed for a jump. There are a lot of factors that go into whether or not that will happen though, so it could just as easily drop if some of the players who were expecting a jump get discouraged and pull out of the market. Or there could just be market manipulation. Who knows?

I don't want to be too much of an optimist but I think it will rise again. Maybe it's just wishing thinking, maybe not
