the point is we have all these tokens that feed into steem and eventually Steem has to be the overarching currency we use to trade for goods and services!

I’ve been thinking a lot about that -
trade or exchange without banks, dollars, credit, etc

But then again at this point of my life I still have dollar bills to pay 😬 not that whatever SBD I get here will cover it, but still...
