The crypto-currency space (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Steemit, etc.) is a very busy space right now. The number of crypto/e-currencies or e-currency like instruments is over 500. But the depth of the market drops off pretty quickly. Bitcoin market cap is at ~10Bil USD, Ethereum is ~1 Bil USD. Plus, many of these currencies can be very thinly traded. But there is no doubt that the whole Crypto space will continue to grow, although I'm not sure there is a need for 500+ different crypto's.
