Well this weeks misc item was a useful one. It felt a bit warmer than usual in the bar and I was looking to see what the temperature was when I noticed this guy. Yes 66 is warm for the bar this time of year because the house is set on like 52. Servers keep the bar warm enough. It was in the 70s yesterday which explains the rise in temperature. Anyway as you can tell this is a thermometer. I don't know if there is any history to it or the guy on it. I seem to remember seeing similar items before but no idea where. This is small piece. I would guess it's about 6 maybe 7 inches tall. It's made out of wood but it doesn't feel like wood. Well some does but most feels more like a rough plastic. It's coated with something but clearly a wood carving. This has to be pretty old.
