The human being is a sociable animal by nature. This need for exchange is not only a potential source of well-being, but it is also going to be the source of some of our most important learnings such as learning how to detect toxic people.

It is therefore important that we are very attentive to our interactions because otherwise we can get caught in the traps of this type of personalities that elaborate through their manipulative strategies.

1. They are self-centered

The first of the traits to detect toxic people is that they talk continuously and in excess of themselves, forgetting about the people around them. In this way, they unconsciously feed their ego, so in need of an act of presence.

2. They have a pessimistic vision

His speech is constructed through complaints and pessimism. They are the typical ones that take the dark side to everything that you propose or tell them through their criticisms and continuous complaints.

I do not know about you, but when I meet a person who always sees the negative side of things, my heart unconsciously shows me two options: to show him that life is not based on that negative vision with real examples or running away in an emotional stampede.

3. They occupy the role of victims

If you have someone in your environment who immediately assumes the role of victim, pretends to be the center of attention constantly or simply does not want to go unnoticed, then you have many chances of finding yourself before a toxic person.

4. They are not self-aware

Take the attitude that the world is against you, not stop to analyze the situations that you generate yourself or those that occur around you is very similar to the previous point "go victim." Being like this makes you stop before life, not controlling your own existence or heart. And the most important thing: not enjoy a healthy conscience.

All this will result in not realizing if they take or not harmful attitudes on the people around them, generating a possible harm. If you know someone with this characteristic, I recommend the same as in the previous point: try to separate yourself from him / her.

5. They are envious

Luckily, I realized in time what envy, jealousy and pride meant in people's lives and in my own. You will agree with me then that toxic people are like emotional vampires who steal the energy of others.

6. They are unhappy

People who feel or live under a toxic attitude are not happy because their way of thinking will prevent them from living in peace and harmony with others and their surroundings. We are all responsible for how we want and want to live, and consequently we have by nature the necessary resources to modify certain attitudes and enjoy more happiness in our lives.

7. They do not rejoice over the achievements of others

The last point and the one that led me to take reflection, consciousness, and start a personal process: a person who suffers and feels envy will not be happy with the joys of the people he loves because, internally, he lives always aware of his own lack. And believe me, when you live on this level and around someone like that, they spend their days in a very unpleasant way emotionally speaking.

With all this, I hope that with these 7 traits you can detect toxic people to enjoy an environment based on friends and people full of love who share with you what every human being deserves: respect, support and unconditional love.
