Poor cats getting blinded by accidental phone flash( actually they didn't care and barely closed their eyes🤣)
I made the decision to try change jobs and relocate somewhere more rural. It means longer hours, but hopefully more rewarding (also.more money). It would be a three year contract and after that who knows.
My day job has become more and more unpleasant: there is not much left to learn for me there, it is badly run, and the internal politics (to which I am impartial and not involved) are toxic and we now have adults not speaking to each other. Also whilst I was overworked and stressed, a "manager" decided to yell at me in public. That was the last straw. I don't like my job, but working 34 to 40 hours per week instead of the customary 48 feels like a holliday.
So kind of hopeful of the future, but wary of the tedious application procedure that will take months.
Every time I switch career paths it fills me with some melancholy and nostalgia: I took those jobs with certain goals, goals that I unfortunately had to give up on or was not ready to pay the price for.
" I came, I saw, I said 'fuck it' "
Feels good though to finally take this step: it has been due for quite some time...
