With just 2 weeks left in the year, is there any chance I can reach my goal of 1 million Blurt Power?
There's only 1 week left to create new posts (and comments) that will pay out before 2024! So for the next week, I'll be posting every night, with the best content I can come up with, in the hopes of amassing enough in pending payouts!
But... 20,000 BLURT in 2 weeks?
I'm pulling in about 750 BLURT per day right now, given my furious pace of content-creation, and all the compound interest on my holdings, comment payouts, and of course, curation rewards.
But that number was closer to 1500 per day, until a few weeks ago, when CTime (the biggest curator on Blurt) changed how he votes, now only supporting people who send a portion of their earnings to @Null. Since I won't do that to buy his vote, my content no longer gets that support. This has dropped my posts off the Trending and Hot pages, further eroding my earnings. My posts are now making about $2 each, instead of the $4 each they earned before.
That's putting a serious dent in my earning capability. I'm earning as fast as I can - there's no way to create more/better content than I am, given my situation (young children, serious health problems, $0 budget, etc). So when my income gets cut in half, I can't just work a bit harder to compensate. I just have to take that pay cut.
If I don't work too hard, I'll end the year with about 985,000 BP.
If I work very hard, I'll end the year with about 990,000 BP.
If I work ridiculously hard and get lucky, I'll end the year with about 995,000 BP.
Which is pretty fantastic, really! I started the year with about 500,000 BP and a few hundred leftover HIVE. I managed to use the HIVE to buy BLURT during a pullback, and I've earned like crazy all year, to get where I am now. Being this close to the million is great!

I'm now the 9th biggest curator on the platform, right up there with the whales, and even the curation projects! My holdings, currently worth $2700 USD, make me one of Blurt's main investors. My Vote Weight (BP adjusted by delegations) is now 1,018,000. My full votes are worth about 50 BLURT (currently $0.13 USD).
How you can help!
Aside from supporting my content, of course, you can help me by creating your own! How does that help? Well, it gives me something to vote on. Without content, there's nothing for me to vote on, and no curation rewards. I need posts (and comments), especially good ones! A major part of my income (and yours too) is rewards from curation. Half of every payout goes to the curators! So when I give out a $0.13 vote, I earn $0.065. If there's nothing to vote on, I lose that 6.5 cents... every 2 hours of the day and night.
So please, don't stop creating content over the holidays, especially if I'm one of your regular voters. I need you! I don't want to be a farmer (someone who votes mainly on their own content). I want to pass the finish line organically, just like every BLURT I've earned! I'm not sponsored, not supported, not endorsed... in fact quite the opposite. It's me and my tiny band of subscribers against the world! We have to keep things rolling through the second half of December.
