Thanks to this technology, sounds will be added to the surrounding environment
Bose enters the territory of the added reality (AR), but in a slightly unconventional way, Engadget reports. This will be done through audio, not video technologies. The company will use a minimalist sound technology that is embedded in a variety of portable devices such as headphones, glasses, and more.

Thanks to this technology, sounds will be added to the surrounding environment. The sensors in the devices will determine where you are watching and subsequently playing a certain sound in the form of information or music. This way, if you are in a historical location, you will be able to know what happened or to hear the speech of a man whose monument you are standing at.

The user's location will be determined by the smartphone's GPS system. Data from the sensors on the wearers will be sent to a mobile application that will send back the relevant sound.

The company has developed prototype glasses that use the new technology, and the acoustic package is built into frames. Originally, the glasses will be available to developers and vendors, as the company collaborates with various partners such as Strava, TripAdvisor, Yelp, MIT Media Lab and others to find a better application.
