Mental overweight, or the consequences of thinking too much.

If you have the impression that your body is constantly tired, stiff or painful, you may be overweight. But we are not referring here to physical weight gain, or even to an increase in the size of the cranial perimeter; what we are talking about here is mental overweight. From an excess of negative, inert and unproductive thoughts.

During the day, we imagine things, we understand others, we think, we create, we calculate, we make decisions ... Finally, we live by thinking. But not all thoughts are valid or useful, and in fact our minds are often filled with thoughts that are of no use to us.

Because of these ideas that do not bring us anything or bring us anywhere, finally, our mind ends up exhausted. It becomes heavy, erodes, crashes and gives up other processes.

Causes of mental overweight

There are different types of toxic thoughts, but there are some that we use more frequently. Here they are :

  • Criticism: When we reproach someone for something, whether we judge it or condemn it, in reality we turn to ourselves. We devalue ourselves, and project on the other all our impotence.
Sadness: Victimization is one of the obstacles that prevents our spirit from progressing. Change is about getting out of that pain, not about getting into negative, negative, frustrating, or helpless thoughts.

  • Assumptions: the only work that has the assumptions is that of tiring us. Conjectures, enigmas or figurations only hurt us by generating a mental overweight in us almost automatically. How to claim to verify what someone thinks of us so often we are not even able to know it ourselves?

  • Conditionals: "If I had done this, now things would be like this ...", "maybe I should have gone ...", etc. Do not torture your mind immeasurably; what is done and done. Now all you can do is learn from it. These thoughts only lead you to judge you, or even to end up self-destructive.

How to lighten his mind?

To prevent mental toxicity from besieging us, we must not allow our thoughts to dominate us. In other words, it is necessary to learn to control them. And for that, you can put into practice the following tips:

Rest your mind: meditation is a fantastic exercise to try to attract only positive ideas. Other practices such as painting can help release tension and replace trash thoughts with more productive ones. Reading, filming or attending workshops and other seminars can also allow us to rest mentally.
Eliminate social toxins: identify the social relationships that may be detrimental to you. For example, if you are surrounded by people who are too gossipy and critical, you will end up becoming so yourself. Look for a more enriching environment that transmits strength, energy and positivity.
Stop your thoughts: put a stop to this toxic recurrence. As paradoxical as it may seem, focus on these negative ideas. And after a few minutes being entirely devoted to it, cut it radically and abruptly. Empty your mind.

If negative thoughts occupy our minds from time to time, their physical impact is hardly perceptible. But when they become established and become constant, they may be able to inhibit our abilities and diminish our quality of life.

Overweight people seek to move away from their own reality and to cover their inner emptiness with the personal wealth of others. They are individuals who need to unload their unproductive thoughts and free themselves from all the unpleasant emotions they produce. Do not let them contaminate us.

If we care for the quality of our thoughts, we will care for the quality of our life. Do not forget it.

Awesome post! For me, writing has been a source of unloading and sorting out all that mental toxicity and thoughts, but I have found meditation to also be a good tool as well (I like to simply sit, breathe and allow whatever I've been suppressing to come to the forefront so I can sort it out).

Wow very interesting read. Thanks for sharing! @journeyfreedom

In my view its conditions and assumptions

This is great. Overthinking and schlepping around old and heavy thoughts slows us down and blocks our creativity. Nice post.

i will follow this guide for better life.
thanks

Yes yes yes!
Mental Silence puts an end to toxic thought patterns which consume our entire present moment. Any moment itself is meaningless. By transferring our past thought pattern into the now it clogs up immediately! By releasing them we open space again for the limitless possibilities in the Now.
And even more, we release the thoughts energetic essence in our dreams and physically feel the release of density..so we become ever lighter!

It is so powerful but many fear the Silence because it reminds them of "death". Wonderfully enough, more and more resort to mental Silence.:)

Love that the post is about meditation :) Please add me to the FB group: @ommmsome
