Byron Bay - The bustling East Coast Mecca

Evening fellow Steemians.

Today I decided to be adventurous and headed to Byron Bay to be a little active and climb to the Lighthouse. The lighthouse sits on the Eastern most point of the Australian mainland and was built in 1901.

One of my favourite places in Australia is Wattegos Beach and Little Wattegos Beach holds a special place in my heart for personal reasons and it is a place that we like to go and visit often.

The Farm at Byron is a great little place we always stop for a coffee and break. The kids love exploring the place and taking a look at the animals there.

My only concern for the picturesque Byron Bay is the craziness that surrounds the town now. It used to be a laid back little town that was surrounded by beautiful beaches. Today, though, you will find a crazily busy tourist mecca that, even on a cool winters day, is full to the brim with a range of different tourists. The town has also introduced a paid parking system that is, in my opinion, outrageously expensive for a small coastal town.

It does still captivate me as a destination, though it is not a place that I visit as often as I used to.

Beautiful, I love Byron Bay. It's such a great place, you're definitely feeling adventurous heading to Byron Bay the same weekend as Splendour In The Grass taking place. It gets really hectic down in Byron that weekend, not exactly the best kind of people in the best state either.

It's ok to go on that weekend. Just pick your time and most of them are at the concert and not in town. Splendour is actually held 20 minutes north of Byron now. Not as crazy as it used to be.

Try hang gliding there! Was one of my favorite adventures in Byron Bay.

Ohh the beauty!!! Where was the location?
