The Street Photography has been an essential core of modern photography. It was with the arrival of more practical cameras that these photographs literally saw the light. Street photography has certain characteristics but I think the most outstanding is the search for the extraordinary. So street photography is not the tool to document it's the tool to show within a known environment, normal, extraordinary, magical and poetic; as well as crude, rough and cruel. That's what street photography is all about and that's why it's such a short-lived event that few can catch.

The colours of the rain

By @mijares

"The following captures were not fully planned, as at the time I took the photographs the rain had no prior warning and yet I took the risk of getting soaked and receiving the rain as an old friend."

Street photography in general, unlike documentary photography, presents spontaneous themes that are born with photography, and what could be more spontaneous than rain. Christian brings us a Post quite particular and very risky, how good street photographer dared to take his camera to take pictures in the rain because there he found things he had not seen before and leaves us a portrait of Caracas so very @mijares.

The crowd and the city (Sensations)

By @angeled

"And so you slowly fall into a sea of sensations between people who look with hope and others with concern or the feeling of entering a cycle that has no end."

Angel's Post is very reflective and free, is an honest journey through his feeling of boredom and tiredness towards his environment, street photography is raw, honest, a true representation of the world and in this work we can see that style with much clarity, clearly united, because it's impossible to separate them, the sensitivity of the author who hits us head-on with these photographs.

However, the opacity and darkness of these photographs distracts us from their content, is a demonstration that the photographic process is up to the developing, where you can enhance what was captured and in this case falls into very opaque greys that doesn't let define the form completely. There is an intention and a search that will remain for the author to sharpen as his work advances.

"Photo Series: From garbage you can live too"

by @jarilustra

"Since I entered the world of street photography I took as an objective to portray the city with everything and the danger that implies. Among my experiences, the most relevant have been with people in a state of homelessness."

Javier portrays a reality, he does it with calm and a lot of respect. In his Post he tells us about his interaction with these men who look through the garbage, and this also allows the street photography: to bring us closer to the reality of the other and allow us to be sensitive to that person and what they go through.

Javier's photographs are not sporadic like Christian's rain or Angel's expressed frustrations, Javier's street photography calls for reflection, without saying much he says it all with his photographs and tables for us the question ___why is this happening? ___ and there is the magic of street photography.

The expressive medium of photography is as broad as you imagine it, and how your needs ask for it. We are very excited to continue to see the work of Street Photography from the Steemit Community.
