Computer-Generated Chess Problem 02170

in chess •  5 years ago

A 'KRRN vs kpp' mate in 3 chess problem generated by Chesthetica using the computational creativity approach which doesn't use any kind of traditional AI or even deep learning. Chesthetica has the creative ability to compose positions on an 8x8 canvas that may otherwise take centuries to arise in an actual game, if ever. There is no known limit to the quantity or type of compositions that can be generated.

Humans have been composing original chess problems for over a thousand years. Now a computer can do it too. Remarkably, Chesthetica never composes duplicate problems using its DSNS technology. Try to solve this puzzle. Do try some of the others in the series as well before you go. Solving chess puzzles like this can be good for your health as it keeps your brain active. It may even delay or prevent dementia.
