CONSECRATION OF HEAVEN BOUND PILGRIMS: 1Peter.2:9-12, 21-23.

As pilgrims on our way to heaven it is required of us to be consecrated our all on the altar. We are a chosen generation, royal priesthood, holy nation, peculiar people and strangers and pilgrims on earth. We are called out of darkness into his marvelous light. We are also called to follow the footsteps of Christ in all things. As pilgrims we must be consecrated to a life of holiness and humility to make it to heaven. Hebrews.13:14. None of us will live here forever but one day we will leave to eternity. 1Cor.6:18-20. No sinner will make it to heaven unless he repents and forsake your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Apart from this it is important you consecrate your all on the altar for you to be sanctified. 2Timothy.2:19-22. Dt.30:6. Ezekiel.36:25-27. The bible made it clear that without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

  1. CONVERSION AND SEPARATION OF HEAVEN BOUND PILGRIM
    Mt.18:3. Acts.3:19, 26. John.3:3-8. 2Cor.6:17-18. Exodus.23:2. John.17:14-16. 1John.2:12-17. Isaiah.52:11. Rev.18:4-5.
    It takes genuine conversion and separation to be part of heaven bound pilgrim. To be converted you must realize your sinfulness, repent of your sins, confess and forsake them and accept Jesus Christ by faith as your personal Lord and Savior. Genuine repentance leads you to become a new creature old things passing away and all things becoming new in your life. It makes your name to be writing in the book of life in heaven. And you become a disciple of Jesus and a candidate for heaven. Apart from conversion you must also be separated from the world and sinful activities. We must be separated from the pollutions of the world, politic of the world, corruptions of the world, contamination of the world, the practice of the world. We must also be separated from worldly amusements, adultery, homosexuality, worldly attires, worldly adornments, worldly ambitions and worldly attitudes. We must be separated from sinful actions and activities. The bible said evil companionship corrupts good manner. 1Cor.15:33. Friendship with the world is enmity of God. We are told come out of the midst of Babylon and be not partakers of her iniquities so that you will not be partakers of her plague. There are lots of people that profess that they are pilgrims on their way to heaven and yet are not saved and not separated from sin and worldly amusements. We must be committed to the life of humility and daily holiness to remain pilgrims on the way to heaven.
  2. CONSECRATION AND SANCTIFICATION OF HEAVEN BOUND PILGRIMS
    Rom.12:1-2. Col.3:1-8. Gal.2:20. 1Thess.4:3-8. 1Thess.5:22-24. Eph.5:3-8, 25-27. Hebrews.10:10, 14. Hebrews.12:1-14. Hebrews.13:12-14, 20-21.
    True consecration will make us to lay our all on the altar of God. Consecration is yielding all to God, dedicating your life, time, talents, resources, bodies, ambitions and everything to God and for his glory only. Entire consecration is required from all heaven bound pilgrims. It is make us to be dead to self, society, to the world and worldly ambitions. Consecration makes you to seek only to please God and God alone. Philip.3:7-14. Entire consecration makes it possible for you to be sanctified and make holy. Sanctification is the second work of grace on the believers who are genuinely born again. Sanctification is called by other names like circumcision of heart, purity of heart, to be made holy. This experience is for those who are born again not for sinners. Sinners are required to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Sanctification is for true believers.
  3. COURAGE AND STEADFASTNESS OF HEAVEN BOUND PILGRIMS
    Luke.9:62. Luke.14:25-27, 33. Daniel.3:13-18. Gen.39:7-12. Ruth.1:15-16. 1Cor.9:24-27. Co.3:5-8. Daniel.1:8.
    To stand fast as heaven bound pilgrims requires courage and commitment. It takes courage to obey God. It takes courage to be faithful. It takes courage to oppose the world and walk against societal norms. As we consider the triumphant pilgrims of the past generation people like Abraham, Enoch, Noah, Joseph, Ruth, Deborah, Paul the apostle, Timothy, Titus etc were men of courage and steadfastness. They stood firm on the truth and sound doctrine and refused to compromise their stand for holiness. To be courageous and steadfast we must be (1) fearless and bold for the truth. (2) Faithful and committed to righteousness. (3) Love God with all our heart. (4) Stand for what is right without compromise. (5) Be self disciplined and maintain self denial. (6) Be holy in secret and in the open. (7) Refuse and resist the temptation to do evil and join evil doers. (8) Reject all offers from Satan and his representative to make you compromise your stand. (9) Serve God with all your heart and with all sincerity. (10) Be prayerful and resolve not to back to sins.
