That's a really neat idealistic idea. And most of the modern "no borders, no nations" calling people are thinking of how easy it would be to travel.
As it is with all idealistic things, there would be a consideratble amount of people who would abuse the system to engage in unjust or criminal activities (take all criminally-minded people on the world and add some opportunistic ones on top who discover their chance). Just as it is on Steemit with the spammers and cloggers. How would you want to flag the real-life perpetrators?

"There are no borders or boundaries on our planet except those that we create in our minds or through human behaviors." Frank White, author of The Overview Effect.

Good point, but that doesn't mean those aren't relevant and important, perhaps even constructive, does it?

Well said! Borders are just some pieces of the land, we cross it by walking across them.

Your story reminds me of the song of the John Lennon "Imagine". But, as you know, it's still a dream. The story of Liberland is interesting, but it's still unrealistic. However, in this area the border makes many problems because it goes through the plots and fields of people living in the border area. For example, in Bosnia, the border of the Republic of Srpska goes through the yards and houses. For example, in the same house you can drink tea in the living room in Republic of Srpska, and in the evening you can sleep in the bedroom in the Federation.

@joythewanderer i completely agree with you that there is really no need for national borders or boundaries. I personally believe(and im sure most Africans will agree with me) that these "imaginary line; borders" is one of the reason why Africa remains one of the poorest continents in the world. America is made up of so many states which are equivalent to some countries in Africa yet its one passport that they require to fly around the country of many African country-like states, however the African is confronted with different passports and different low value currencies, making intra-African trade very difficult. A borderless world should not be an utopian dream, it should be a MUST!

I second that! I live in middle Europe and planning to leave my country. I will think about Liberland.

According to some news article, the fact that the United States has a continents worth of resources that freely travel between the states is an important factor of economic growth. Thats why the US is still the wealthiest country in the world. I certainly agree that borderless world will be a benefit for all.

That is a good point. You can argue that the states of the USA are much more sovereign than the countries of Europe.

The East African Community has taken strong steps to remove the significance of borders and I can't say they're saying proportional economic growth as a result. No single issue is responsible for systemic poverty.

Will that not make it easier for terrorists though?

having travelled a lot myself and seen the after effects of war and conflict, I to thin that Borders have created so much friction and death over the eyars It would be a better world if there was no need fr borders indeed

Interesting perspective but what about terrorism and stuff?

Well it’s politic and borders and of course religion the feeds and promotes terrorism in many ways

Do borders make it worse that is of course debatable I think it may well but I am no expert

Yeah me neither. Where are you from just curious?

Originally from NZ but currently living in the US

Cool what do you do?

I want a borderless world too. Canadian passport gets me into all the common wealth countries easily without a visa for 6 months.

Sounds like you've got quite an adventure lined up going through the places most wouldn't dare go. Hope you have a travel partner.

You are lucky. Visas are expensive! About as much or more than the return flight!

That's true. My Z visa in China is over $1000US and needs to renew once a year. I'm on my 6th. Luckily my boss pays for it.

You are lucky then! What made you decide to move to China?

That's a rough plan, I hope I can finish that trip within 2 years.

Crypto is the only thing I know making the world boarder less and limitless. Once people will adopt and embrace the blockchain and decetralization. Government will soon be abolish and the world become one no boarder.

I sometimes agree with the populist movement that likes to establish borders on the grounds of national sovereignty and security. One of the things I don't like that much about Europe right now is how the all the countries are kind of assimilating, you know what I mean? So what about real Italian, German, French culture?

The real European culture disappeared decades ago. Now you see those best old days in the museums :D
Some of the countries keep their culture better than others I guess.

Yeah Italy actually does a pretty good job I think. Thanks for being an inspiring Steemian and connecting on here! 🤡 🤠 😏 😒 😞 I hope you have a wonderful day!

I agree, it would be great to live without borders some day, but this will be extremely hard task that will require people to adapt to new scenarios and most importantly - we need to learn to live with different religions or reunite all religions into one religion

Lots of people who threaten my life, my values, and my property out there. I'm glad there's some arbitrary imaginary lines protecting me from them, because although borders are imaginary, danger in the world is not.

lovely post

Thanks a lot, Nainaz.

The world would definitely be much better without borders. There is certain to be debate for and against that, but I would love that as a traveler :)

Why? I see a lot just talk but no Upvote!
Some think others are dumb. Maybe they are smarter

Thanks bullionstacker. I see there're many of those who only comment, some even doing bot spamming the similar comment but without voting. Dean is a very nice guy though.

Hey just wanted to jump in here, @bullionstackers and @joythewanderer! I noticed @bullionstackers downvoted the Steemit Worldmap bot post on the following post: https://steemit.com/cn/@joythewanderer/explore-the-hidden-gems-in-bruges

Did you also mean the Steemit Worldmap bot when you meant what you said about bot spamming? If so, I understand the flag, but if not, could you urge @bullionstackers to remove the flag as this obviously poorly reflects on to me, haha!

That's not what I meant, I meant someone else here.

Thanks for clearing that up @joythewanderer!
That's what I thought, was just making sure! I'm guessing it's a mistake on @bullionstackers part, no big deal, cheers!

cannot resist the nice guy remark ... someone helps me ...

Thanks Dean.

I am just pulling his leg. I know who he is.

hahaha, Dean is super famous indeed. Sorry I got you wrong....

ouch!

I hope we can have a borderless world soon!

You have a lot of awesome posts, but this is by far one of your best ones man. I needed this one today! Thanks.

Good post Borderless world, dream or reality i have upvote and reestem nice post @joythewanderer

Hi @joythewanderer! I couldn't agree more about borderless world :)
It would be a paradise for travellers (such as myself ). I think that if we would to get rid of all the borders it would also help to get people closer together, get to know each culture easier. Maybe this way there would be one less 'boundary' between different nations?
Anyway, good trip plan :) I'd love to do something similar in close future :)
Enjoy!
