Friday morning was cold, and it was a while before the east side warmed enough for him to start putting the last of the shingles down.
East side shingles done
He finished late morning, had lunch and started the capping.
He did the porch first because it would not have a ridge vent.
Then he started the smaller section over the kitchen. It had a ridge vent and he had problems getting it to lay down, due to being too cold.
He got that section finished and called it a day. We still had to put the last window, which I had finished Friday morning, together and cover it for storing. Then he had to drain the water pipes in the barn, as Friday night was to be low 20’s.
Saturday he plans to make the milk run, get the east side capping done, clean all the wood out of the driveway so he can plow, and put the snow plow on the truck. Forecasts are for 8” – 12” of snow Sunday into Monday.
