Obinnah was a father who believed in discipline. He had full understanding that sparing the rod entails spoiling the child. A Stitch in time saves nine, over time became his mantra. His wife on the other hand loves their one son so much that she would not let any rod of discipline from the father land on him. She guarded him even amidst his misbehaviours. Well, what would the poor man do? He loves the wife as well and wouldn't let anything bring a rift between them. Gabriel their one son learnt to hide under the umbrella of her mother's love to do bad since there was nothing much the father could do.

Gabriel left for college. He came back on one of the breaks and began to smoke weed in his room at night.

"I can smell weed in the neighborhood", Gabriel's mother expressed in dismay. She discovered to her greatest surprise that her dear son is the one responsible. She banged on his door to caution him. Eyaaa, it's already late; she couldn't fix this when he was younger, is it now that he is old enough that it can be fixed? Too late.
