If anybody knows the name brand "wonderbread" then here's the recipe for you....I haven't bought bread in years, it's so much better homemade . ...i took my grandmother's recipe and modernized it, so I say....so if you love soft chewy delicious bread.....here's my own recipe . ......I use my bread machine set on dough for starters . ...

1 teaspoon yeast
1/8 cup sugar
1/8 cup oil or melted butter
3/4 cups water (more may be needed, add teaspoon at a time)
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons gluten (optional )

Let rise after mixing ingredients ,
Roll out dough into desired buns (hotdog, hamburger . .,etc)
Let rise again.
Cook at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your oven
When you tap on the top of the bun and it sounds hollow , it's cooked to perfection .
If you like crusty bread, leave uncovered , or cover with plastic wrap for soft chewy bread...

You can be adventurous , by adding spices, I personally like to add 2 or 3 tablespoons of onion soup mix..but each person's taste is different.....happy baking ! Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!!

Lovely recipe!! upvote

Thanks! It's my go to for everything , i even use this recipe when I make cinnamon buns....

Hmmm. I'LL have to try it. Similar to mine ;) thanks

There isn't anything better than homemade ! Can i have yours to try? 😊

Sure, but I mill my own flour.
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbl sugar or honey - preferred
3/4 water (warm)
3/4 milk
1.5 tsp yeast.

Just keep an eye while it's mixing so you get the right texture.... I think if you add gluten then it would be super.

Wow! Mill your own flour ? How cool is that ? That's one thing that I have to try now, I do everything else from making my own pasta to making sausages ....thanks for the recipe buddy!😀

Nope prob. The mill can do all sorts of neat things, like black bean, rice, and many more. And you can switch it to cake flour powder. Haven't tried that. And I do the same with pastas, tortilla. I like to get simple.

You make your sausages, now that is way further than I've gone. I can imaging the variety you can do. Cheers to you.

I do everything from breakfast sausages, bratwurst , but my favorite is garlic cheddar , nothing better than the snap of a sausage on homemade bread and mustard with gooey cheddar . ...but as for milling , i want to invest in a mill now.....

Now, I want to start doing sausages. Hehe. I have an omega juicer that can do that type of thing. Now, im getting excited. For a great mill, I bought a wonder mill like four years ago and still going strong. Is it hard to do sausage and finding the casings?

Not at all, I grind my own pork, just a hint, pork shoulder picnic roast is the best for sausages because of the fat content, and I can get casings from my local butcher shop. I get about a football field length for 27 dollars , and you can get curing salt cheap online.... and there's all kinds of sausage recipes online.....
I actually bought an industrial meat grinder on kijji for 100 bucks.....
