Oman has some very unique traditions, though they are not very different from other middle east regions, there are something which are very peculiar to Oman, like their dressing. In UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi, the man normally wears a turban on the head, while here in Oman they wear a cap. Likewise there are some other small differences when it comes to their cultural and traditional things.
Some of the things I even find similarity with India, like their Jewelry and even some of the household items used like clay pots for water storage. With the modern ways of living now all of this is becoming things of the past, still there are households who like to go ahead with the olden ways of life.
I visited this shop at one of the hotels where they had all Omani souvenirs, they are a good memory to buy if you are visiting on a holiday, but personally I found them expensive in this place. The shop is in a hotel so yes there will be a premium price.
These camel soft toys are very popular and the embroidered pouches and shawls too you normally find in all the souvenir shops.
These kind of dresses are also worn in Indian culture.
These are all handmade Omani souvenirs, made of wood
These cups are used to burn frankincense, with which they do dhoop, it is basically the energy cleansing method.
All of these are handmade items
As I said, if you are a tourist it's good to buy some of these things as a memory to keep.
