Seeing all these apps listed on one page makes one notice that this new era is not in it's infancy anymore.
The new world - this internet of value - already exists.
All these decentralized apps are require blockchains to secure them. These blockchains are the foundation on the new Web. The Web of Trust. Some people are even calling it the Internet of Value. - @hedge-x in Welcome To The New Internet!
If you only imagine that hundreds and thousands of people are already using these (currently 138 listed) applications, then you'll get an idea of the dynamic.
In a couple of years all applications on our smartphones might be decentralized apps!

Video distribution networks will definitely play an important role in this whole context of decentralized application building.
As we all know, video content distribution and livestreaming are among the most seminal ways of communiation and content distribution worldwide these days.

Was made aware of app.co from a cryptomania newsletter, I think it ranks the apps via Twitter mentions. Not a really great matrix but the creator most likely thinks "If it's happening anywhere, it's happening on Twitter".
No worries though.. If enough steemians with Twitter account mentioned all the Steem apps. it'll get up get very soon!!!

School and all it's stress inclined activities. Just finished a semester and my industrial training is next....so i think I'd have time to visit your blog again!

Sorry, I can't vote for DLive. Half the time it won't play the videos for me and it wastes my time waiting to find out it won't play the videos. Many people switched to DLive from DTube because of the pay outs; great, but I won't vote on what I can't watch. Saludos!

I've been using DLive for months now and besides some short downtimes (which all the apps built on Steem are facing from time to time - as we could see todays's morning), it worked totally well for me. If you join the DLive discord channel you can enjoy some really efficient support from the DLive team. So whenever we're facing some technical issues, there's always a staff member happy to help. Also bigger issues are announced and then as a content creator you're prepared to it and just post your video a bit later. Obviously you need a fast internet connection to watch the original version of most (longer) videos. The advantage is the quality! On Youtube for instance, all my high res GoPro videos get reduced down to a poor resolution which means that all the effects I've been working hard on in the post production get lost. I'd always prefer to see my videos displayed on DLive in full quality rather than having a fast but pixeled download on other platforms...:-)
But hey, everybody is free to find their own favourite apps since there are soooo many - and many more to come.

DLive doesn't even recognize my login most of the time and YouTube takes my 4K video just fine, so my I'net connection must be adequate. Don't know what the difference is, but I've litterally had to stop following some people when they switched to DLive. I used to have these issues with DTube, but those went away so I hope the same will be true for DLive. Go ahead, check the settings on this video, it's 4K and was uploaded and will play back from this connection:

I have sumbitted my DLive form to App.co, although I have some concerns. There is still too much buffering and too many videos are not being played properly or not being played at all. This goes for DTube also. It leaves bad user experience and is not helping steem blockchain, unless solved soon.
