This will just serve here as a little note taking.

I have heard and read a little about bio-hacking and now I am starting to hear more about nootropics. These both seem like very interesting facets to me. When I was young I played a game called cybersphere and my usual was to play what was called a decker. A decker in cybersphere is basically a hacker but one of the cooler gadgets that you could get actually allowed you to store or backup some data in your brain, think of johny mnemonic. Anyway some other real world examples of bio hackers that I have come across are people you have cut their finger to put tiny magnets into the tips which then once healed attach onto nerve endings allowing the person to actually feel magnetic and electromagnetic fields. Very interesting stuff.

Hmmm... don't recal Cybersphere.... know of Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, and many other Cyberpunk genre games where Decker was not an unsual term. We have to thank William Gibson and Neuromancer for most of these concepts. It is Ironic since Gibson wrote that on a typewriter and knew almost nothing about computers. I tend to like John Brunner's book The Shockwave Rider alot but, I don't believe Decker occurred there. In Neuromancer they were referred to like cowboys it seems.

Anyway... fun stuff.

Very much so, cybersphere is actually still online it is a text based MUSH data can be found here http://www.cybersphere.net/cs/Category:Game and yea I am familiar with each of the references you made there :)

MUSH that explains everything. ;) Nuff said. I did some coding on some MUSHes back in the day and probably saw Cybersphere in the list of MUSHes but, forgot about it.

Haha very nice. I got into that a little bit as well only ever ran a personal however. It was good times.

Interesting, sounds like some wolverine self healing type stuff :P

Sure why not we already know that nanobots are possible.

Alright then, X-men here we come :P
