Urban planning has been fraught with difficulties arising from, among others, lack of proper tools to create and compare charts, graphs, maps and diagrams of various types quickly.
All that is about to change. Geoff Boing of University of California has developed a list of computational tools that would help urban planners to visualize data and quickly create Nolli maps, figure grounds and other diagrams in unprecedented ways that it could set a revolution in urban planning soon.
