I love Steem monsters.
I've been working on my forest/neutral deck.
Here is my new "Magi of the forest" about to slay some poor fool. :)
So far I am VERY happy with Steem monsters as a game. The artwork in particular is very excellent. The coding is also great. The game even loans you Resource Credits if you don't have enough to play! But will Steem monsters keep evolving at this amazing rate?!
The other day I was taking a look at the projects on the homepage of http://www.dlux.io and also talking to {@disregardfiat} one of the devs at dlux: Which is a VR website on the steemit block-chain with programmable HTML and many other features. We were talking about BLENDER the 3D mapping program.
All of these Steem monster characters would look so freaking cool mapped in 3d; let alone how cool attacks would be.
The great thing about a card game on an online block-chain is that {with the developers permission} you could easily make a 3D system that overlays right on top of the existing system. It could start as a simple virtual wallet to look at what monsters you have. every card you buy unlocks a 3D avatar.
Eventually you could have full on 3D battles that actually count on the steem monsters block-chain system. Maybe only high stakes battles like tournament battles. The great thing about 3D mapping is you could extend battle scenes and not effect the game mechanics.
You could EASILY have battle arenas with different skins. you could have rooms to audio chat and text chat. You can have an arena area for big battles that people can only listen to an announcer. The sky is the limit.
I am not a developer on either steem monster or dlux so I have little say on if this happens. But its hard not to imagine these projects merging. I imagine there are at least a few talented 3d mappers on here. And unlimited programming skill. Time will tell. Good luck on this season everyone! :)
That would be sweet.
