Uh

your misinterpretation is built on assumptions. those assumptions are built on what you think a man should look like, or a woman (ie. gender roles)

i didnt say that scrawly misgendered the character

i directly say that AFTER scrawly said that it is a male, you didn't apologize. instead you PERSISTED to say that it LOOKS like a FEMALE to you

howdy again veryspider- I did not say that you said scawly misgendered the character.

I have since apologized, I was just saying that the character looked like a female to me that is true but that was just my impression, I mean no disrespect at all, in fact I have tremendous respect for all the artists on here.

I enjoy all the artwork on steemit, it's a joy to be able to see it and I have no problems with genders or anything like that. All I can do is to say I'm sorry for any offense I have caused, I only have love in my heart for all people.

If you still think I'm wrong about something then please tell me what that is because I walk in love and have nothing but respect for the artists here.

You keep saying you respect artists, but as artists.... I feel only disrespect coming from you throughout these exchanges.

Stating the character STILL looks like a FEMALE to you ........AFTER scrawly has said it was NOT, was very disrespectful.

Listen, your statement had ruined someone's day. If you can't understand that, then there is no use talking.

well I not only have tremendous respect for the artists on here but I'm usually in awe of them as well.

I did not know that stating my opinion about a wonderful piece of art was disrespectful but I do now and I apololgized to scrawly.
I do understand that now.

Stating an opinion is fine, but persisting AFTER being corrected was NOT fine.

veryspider- I did not do what you are accusing me of. When veryspider told me that it was a male character I wrote back and told him that to me it looked like a female and that's why I misread his title but I didn't insist that it was a female... but I should have said I stand corrected because I was and am.

I'm sorry I was so clueless but I didn't realize the gender issue was so big here. I have no problems with genders or anything, I love all people.

Having said that though, I really love that this platform is a learning one and I'm learning everyday about things I know little of and that's what happened here so I won't make the same mistake again.

Even now you persisting that the character LOOKED like a female <--- This is being outrageously disrespectful.

no I'm not, I was referring to my first response to scrawly and I said I stand corrected, which I am saying now.

you mean to scrawly.

you mean when scrawly said it was a man, and you said "oh no, i thought the title said PRINCESS" (therefore i guess you weren't really really really reading).....

either way, you either didn't really read because you mistook the title, or you had wanted to explain yourself more than saying sorry.

either way, it's time to move on now, @janton.

veryspider~ are we ok? because I'm trying to understand how artists see things and to improve myself.

i was asleep. i just woke up now. it is 8.30 AM sunday morning.

i donno if we are okay. i am mostly okay with everyone, until they intentionally or unintentionally hurt a friend of mine. and you did.

veryspider- I was not even aware that I hurt anyone. I'm not even sure how I hurt anyone, I would never ever do that.

I complimented scrawly and told him why I had missread the title of his post, that's all I did. I did not say that the gender of his character was wrong, I just said that's how I saw it and that's what caused me to think the title said Princess instead of Prince.

I only have the best intentions to support everyone that I can on steemit and to be encouraging as well so I'm so sorry if I have offended anyone.

So let me know if I can do anything, I want to continue supporting scrawly but if you think I should stay away I will.

Maybe stay away. Really.

"Support" like what you've been offering isn't much support at all.

You ruined scrawly's day yesterday. And I'd like that it should stop today.

well it was totally unintentional and all I can say is that I'm very sorry.

Okay.
