The troubling thing about this is that no one is challenging Trump on this to his face. You would think that there would be one person out there with backbone to ask, "Mr. President, please walk us through how this tax bill would hurt you or cost you money, because most people think that you will save anywhere from 4.5 to 11 million dollars because of it."

No, what is bad is Trump claiming that he will be hurt by the new tax bill, when he'll actually gain quite a bit. It's the lie, the con job, the disgrace of a seventy year old acting like a ten year old--doubling down on immature denials of wrongdoing to escape discipline from a parent. His personal tax rate was reduced, a tax loophole was added that benefits commercial real estate businesses, and another loophole was thrown in that benefits golf courses. He will save millions of dollars in taxes, but he has the audacity to claim that he is being hurt by all of these tax savings.
And let's not forget that tax stunt he pulled decades ago wiping out $1 billion in taxes on account of his multiple bankruptcies. At the time, his scheme was considered controversial. The courts made it illegal shortly thereafter. Trump should be forced to pay that $1 billion back to the US Treasury, not be handed a key to raid the treasury even further.
