Since I've started vlogging I've been introduced to other sites and there are some great ones out there! I have however decided to remain solely on here at present. I want to give it my all and help Dtube to grow. I also think personally if I try to diversify too much my content will become diluted. What do you think? Are you loyal to Dtube?

I learned a long time ago not to have loyalty to any one website. People, yes, websites, never. They aren't loyal to us, ever. They can (and often) turn on us without warning, in pursuit of what's best for them. -- We should work hard to grow our online prescence if we so desire, but loyalty is not really something that we should give to a single site.
-- You should develop your own website alongside, and the great thing about this is that you can continue to work on Dtube as you grow it... but in the case where Dtube goes the way of the dodo, or decide for one reason or another to devalue you, you have your own site.
Giving our content to any one platform is not a good idea because it is essentially "leased" space. Subject to their rules, at anytime, for any reason (good or bad).

Thank you for the insight and your comments. Yes I understand what you are saying that any loyalty to one site wont be rewarded. I think as I build in confidence I may diversify and start up my own website!

It's really easy to start, and it can be free or just a few dollars. But it rarely happens that people do it "later" because then it seems like a huge task. I made a video I'll post soon just for you about this.

I think where you choose to focus your time is what grows. Water a plant, it grows. Don't water a plant and it will wilt and die. Not only will you build up a following, your subscribers will come to expect a certain standard and a upload timeframe from you. So, for example I haven't heard you swear on here so it would come as a shock to hear you do so. This is called "going off brand" so to speak. There no censorship here, so you can say what you like, but you have to accept the consequences of your actions.
I lost a subscriber today because I was having upload trouble with DTube (I had uploaded some videos to YouTube and linked them to my Steemit account) which meant that when I eventually uploaded them to DTube, the same videos showed up twice. This is called "spamming the feed" and it offends people. A daily video is fine as people expect that, but no more than 2 a day. (People seem to like breathing room).
There are other platforms, but here not only are you generating Steem Backed Dollars, you can power up your Steem so that your investment stake in the platform is worth more. I haven't seen it on any other platform. Plus, the number of active DTubers is far lower than YouTube which means that it's easier for you to get to the front page (as you are right now). :D
