How do I make money on Steemit? Everyone keeps saying post, post , post and comment, comment, comment. Well I have been doing that for about a month now and I've made .008 dollars. Be honest. Do I need to buy steem power? I've read other posts that say that the only way to get your work in front of other users who will actually upvote it is to invest more money into the platform via steem power etc. Is this true. People on the platform don't even comment if the content is bad. I would take even that as constructive criticism. How do you get people to participate? The platform is a great idea but it is never going to work if people don't participate. When I say participate I mean with positive or negative commenting. It is my opinion that if you tell a person that their post sucks, then they will work to make them better in the future. This will, in essence, ultimately make the platform better and will make the content better quality.

Hi Joe. Since you asked... I have a question that I haven't taken the time to research yet.

I'm pretty happy with my reputation score compared to how long I've been on this platform, but the upvotes I give are only worth about a penny. I wish they were worth more. What is the best way to increase the value of my upvotes. Do I need to keep working on increasing my reputation score? Would purchasing steem and converting it to steem power help? Or should I upvote less and let the "voting power" increase? I like giving a decent amount of upvotes so I'm hoping I don't have to vote less. Maybe you've talked about this before, please direct me to that video if you have.

Is there a better way to search some topics on steemit?
Tags are too wide.

Also, i would like to know is there any official bounty. (not necessary promotional)

For example:

How to apply to make Steem silver coins?
(I saw that somewhere on Steemit)

How do categories and tags work? Is it keyword sorting? I found the list of tags, I can use those but what about new ones?
Is there any way to filter out posts in trending/new/hot that for posts in languages I would never read? So much content here, it's like a grab bag. Too hard to find good content among all the junk.
