Did anyone bring up the Chick Fil A vegan protest? After all, nothing will warm people to your point of view like bringing your screaming dramatics, butcher knives, and fake blood to a popular family hangout to terrify the children...https://www.wfla.com/news/pinellas-county/pinellas-park-chick-fil-a-protest-angers-parents-scares-kids_20180227115325962/995150863
For further illumination, try watching the JP Sears video "If Meat Eaters Acted Like Vegans" on YouTube. He perfectly captures the condescending attitude that turns a lot of people off about vegans.
The title for the QOTW even belies a bit of that attitude. "Threatened" reads as a microaggression in suggesting meat eaters are insecure--and therefore wrong. I'm not threatened by the idea of giving up meat. I simply dislike it when people who think their diet is superior get heavyhanded in their conversion efforts--frankly, it's no different than religious fanaticism, and equally as irritating.
Now normal, minding-their-own-business vegans who just do their thing without constantly harping on it--THOSE vegans I have zero issue with.
Ive learned a lot this week! Starting to understand the vegan resistance’ ill be writing about it on my tie uo post later today. Thanks for this comment!
