Children are special gifts from God and they should be treated specially and loved. God has given parents the access to take care of children and it is the duty of parents to always care and see how their chidren are behaving and how they are coping with their future. There are some children that have already know what they would become in future, they try to imitate those ahead of them and try to be one. So parents should try to sit their children and ask them what they would want to become in the nearest future. I would want you to apply these techniques on how to know what your children will want to become and must not try ruining their careers.

UNDERSTANDING A CHILD'S GOAL

There are some children who are trying to get things done on their own without disturbances because they want to bring new things to their knowledge and see what they would bring out of it. To some, they see it as a play but a knowledgeable parent will know that the child is trying to bring out something and so it may help the children to be able to acquire new things when they grow up. I have a little girl of age two where I teach, she likes to talk and smarter than her age, then I concluded that she would come out excellently in the future and also probably be a genius in her career. So parents should understand what their children are coming up with and try to help them.

CREATE TIME FOR CHILDREN

Children love it when parents are so close to them and that makes them want to share their best moment with them and by so doing, parents will be able to understand what a child will want to become. A story of a mother who never had time for her son,all she was about was her work and income. The son will return from school and wouldn't set his eyes on his mum till he sleeps in the night, the next morning, the mother is gone for work even before he wakes up. The nanny will dress him and take him to school. The boy wasn't happy with this and so oneday he decided not to sleep till his mum comes back from home. His mum came back home so tired but the boy went to his mum's room and said he wants to talk to him. He said, "mum, please I want to ask you something and I want you to answer me,how much are you collecting for 4hours at your place of work?" The mother laughed and asked why the question, then the boy told his mum that she never had her time for him all she is after was work and money but never cared about him. The woman broke into tears and promised to always be there for his son. Parents should always create time for their children so that they can know how they are faring at school and at home, they shouldn't leave everything for the teacher alone.

STOP NAGGING A CHILD

Feel free to talk to children in a cool way and stop shouting on them unnecessary,it kills the morale of a child. Instead of the child to come to you for a question,he/she will tend to keep it to herself because of the fear that you may nag at him/her. Give room for children to come to you and express their feelings, they will be happy and by so doing, you are also helping the child to achieve whatever he/she wants to become.

This is where I will stop today till I come your way next time

My only child is now an adult. We have always encouraged him to think for himself and not follow the crowd. I am so proud of his independent thinking.
