Quite edible cake made in 3D Studio MAX editor

Hello, dear friends!

The other day I decided to create something tasty, but not quite in the usual way. Having experience with three-dimensional editors, I wanted to do a digital form of creativity and to portray something tasty in the framework of "silicone graphics".

As a result, I got here a cake, even a little realistic, and I'm going to tell you how to cook it.

To start with, I needed a 3D editor 3D Studio MAX with embedded system of visualization Cebas Finalrender. Having estimated in mind that approximately has to turn out, I started modeling.

First came the cake with cream and nuts, then the saucer, then a Cup of tea. At the end, I added the pairs and assigned the materials and textures that I had to prepare and compose as I went.

If modelling items did not raise many difficulties, because of experience with polygonal modeling I is large enough, then the materials had to Tinker decently. If you pay attention, here you can see how the light coming from the left, as if partially illuminated through the layers of the cake, as well as the cream in the layers and delicious pimpochke on top. Nuts and cherries have a similar translucent effect.

The Cup and saucer have a complex pattern. They are partially covered with gold, include small ornaments, reflect objects around, and Shine. It took about two days for the entire work to create the scene. The image size of 1600x1200 pixels was calculated on a computer with Intel Core i7 3970 processor, 32 GB RAM, for about 6 hours.

You can see the result! Thank you for your attention and do not judge strictly for the not quite traditional approach in the fine arts!
