Asthmatics, ruining everything.

So these researchers - following the money - recommend that to infinitesimally reduce greenhouse gasses, I should switch from an aerosol inhaler, designed to propel the medication deep into my lungs, to a dry powder inhaler, which requires the asthmatic to breathe in with greater force to break up the clumps of powder and get it out deep into their lungs, to contribute a tiny amount to reducing greenhouse gasses.

Let's be clear about that. To use the dry powder inhaler, the person who can't breathe deeply has to breathe deeply to inhale the medicine that will enable them to breathe deeply. You have to take the medicine before you take the medicine so you can take the medicine.

Asthma isn't just an inconvenience, or a handicap that some heroic Olympic athletes fight through. It's life-threatening. Go to the ER because of an asthma attack and you get treated before the broken limb moderate bleeder who got there before you, because you're at greater risk of dying. You may even get the surreal experience of a doctor looking you in the eye and saying, "I thought we'd lost you."

I'm not interested in being leftists' sacrifice to Gaia.

I have been a life long asthmatic. I have lived thru the whole evolution of meds. From the glass tube with a rubber squeeze thing to the impeller/duster, to the aerosol. I mean can you believe the insanity of this. Like you say, we are ruining everything thing! How selfish of us for wanting to live, sheesh. lol.

Totally agree that there's extremes - I'm asthmatic and further to the left, but no way would I condone this. Really?? Isn't that ironic given that asthmatics suffer MORE from bushfire smoke, environmental pollutants such as chemicals, tranport industry pollution etc etc etc etc ?? Improve air quality first maybe? Seems like a no brainer to me. I've no interest in being ANYONE's sacrifice to Gaia -- although if you could guarantee me that humanity would unfuck itself, then maybe I'd be willing to put myself on the altar. - @riverflows xx
