Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is located on an island in the Arabian Gulf. Its role in oil exports and trade is reflected in the modern towers and huge shopping centers of its urban landscape, including Abu Dhabi Mall and Marina Mall. Sheltered under white marble domes, the vast Sheikh Zayed Mosque offers a large Persian rug, crystal chandeliers and a capacity of 41,000 worshipers.
