Removing Middlemen in the Supply of Games!

Blockchain technology creates efficient distribution networks.

Globalized supply chains have been great as they have allowed countries to focus even more efficiently on the output of resources or products that they excel at. However, while trade routes have grown and developed, they have failed to evolve out of the need for middlemen. Supply chains involve importers, exporters, wholesale distributors, sales agents, courier agents, and many more middlemen. The internet has provided the means to mitigate some of these problems.

One of the greatest benefits of the advent of the internet bas been greater cross-border communication. As the key provision of the web is to ensure communication can reach as far as possible, globalized trade has gained exponential growth. Supply chains, today, reach into the depths of nearly country’s rural areas. Some industries have benefitted even more from the internet. Industries that rely on digital products have been able to deliver their product data via the web and therefore can now dodge the reliance on middlemen—at least to some degree.

The payment mechanisms involved in the trade of digital products still rely on middlemen, namely payment networks. Blockchain projects are hard at work to develop the most efficient supply chain models that are able to create routes that do not need rely on any middlemen.

Efficient Supply

A new project, Yumerium, is bringing blockchain’s benefits on product distribution to the gaming market.

One of the key benefits of Yumerium is that it will allow developers anywhere in the world to create VR games, removing their reliance on support of a publisher. The platform achieves this by creating an internal economy of tokens that incentivizes players to promote the game.

As Yumerium functions on the blockchain, the token economy it creates is independent and can support transactional facilities internally. Thus, not only are the games distributed within the Yumerium ecosystem unbound from the use of supply chain agents, they are also from the use payment networks. As a result, the developers that create VR games upon this platform will be in full control of the distribution of their content. They will not face problems on reach or payment fulfillment.

Beyond reach, an internalized payment network will also provide monetary benefits. As Yumerium’s core function is to ensure games can grow from the support of the community, large transactional volume will be a standard expectation. As community members will bring in new players by promoting the game through reviews, shares, and other interactions, they will have to be paid. An internal tokenized economy will make it possible to reward the community immediately and at lowered costs.

Yumerium is creating a blockchain-powered platform to improve the distribution of games across the world. Despite its focus on a narrow niche, VR games, the project takes the reach and distribution of games a leap forward. This is an approach to not just make the growth of a game community-centric, but also to make it free from supply chain agents and payment networks.

As a result of this, the developers and the community are in full control of the transactional flow involved in the game’s promotion.

@hatu sir, good post as always, Yumerium is a great attempt to make gaming world more in favor of developers, excluding the middleman dependency.

Correctly noted :)

Really you are great sir.
(If payment is arranged with paypal,It will be even better)

Not really.
That would involve a middleman.

I like this post sir,

Thank you :)
