Every two weeks or so I like to compare the current power-up statistics and see how we stand.

The trend we were in with the liquid supply of STEEM going down has ended.
The amount of liquid STEEM has gone up this rapport with 0,6 million STEEM.
It's not all bad though, another 0,8 million STEEM was powered up too.
Inflation is still correct with almost no SBD conversions going on.
The feed price for optimum conversion is now 20 cents.
Remember that the Feed price is not the same as market value of STEEM.
Feed price is used when converting an SBD to STEEM.
Almost nobody is converting right now because it's pointless at 12 cents STEEM but when STEEM decides to go back up, I hope we blast passed the 20 cents mark and not linger there, otherwise, many more millions of STEEM will be created through conversions.
STEEM price has gone down in USD value with Bitcoin going down.
One small positive is that the Satoshi value of STEEM seems to be stable since the beginning of August.
Around the 1600-1700 sats lvl.
Besides the STEEM price going down, this rapport is pretty decent.

I just powered up a couple hundred a week or so ago. I know it is really just a drop in the bucket, but it goes a long way towards growing my account. I was pretty excited to cross the 7000 SP mark with that power up!

That's not the only reason.
When a noob comes in and sees these 50 word + image posts getting hundreds of dollars while their posts that are actual quality might get .003 cents in upvotes, that is a psychological barrier that will cause most minnows to just drop off because the effort to payoff is relatively non-existent.
Add to that the loss in crypto value in general.
Add to that the fact that Steem doesn't really have any form of useful 'market', the only thing to buy with steem is dollars.

I'm too deep into steem to turn back now, every satoshi I can get my hands on I'll take it lol fast approaching 7k SP and powering up everything! Gotta get while the getting is good I don't want to FOMO as I did in the last bull run when I kept buying on the up, yes I made profit but if I was more aggressive in the winters it would be better so that's what i"m doing now
