Honestly, I find it quite ironic. A joke almost, as most people surely feel. I don't really use Facebook anyway, but even if Mark did in some way work blockchain into the network, it would probably be closer in ethics to the likes of Ripple and other such projects. Not truly decentralized and not true to the original vision.
But hey, blockchain is like a wonderful new tool, right? People can use it for whatever they want to, regardless of its original intentions, because it helps solve so many issues. And I think that's awesome. Original intentions do not always dictate potential uses and possibilities.
Yeah, you are right on personal ground but I think he should think of measures to make facebook more like steemit where everyone wins.

I agree with that; the world is ready for a shift towards community as opposed to corporation. There's a huge imbalance. I just don't know if the current conglomerate of global corporations (such as facebook) will bend to that willingly.
