Accidental Lomo Walk

A couple of funny things happened to me today. Firstly I got recorgnised (from my YouTube videos) by a bunch of photographers. Second, it so happened that they were part of a Lomography photography walk.

The person leading the walk didn't recognise me, sadly (I'm not yet that famous), rather he spotted the lens I have adapted to my camera.

I'm right in the middle of shooting a new video about adapting vintage lenses across different brand cameras with different mounts. So I had swapped the native lens on my Canon SLR with a vintage Helios-44-2, which is a Soviet era lens.

Goes without saying, I joined up with the crew and gained a whole load of more Instagram followers. It was a Lomography walk - an official one, with Lomo staff around. There were one or two digital cameras about, but everyone had their film cameras with them, so it was a fun walk.

I had to leave half way tough, since I had other engagements for the day, but not before completing at least one roll and taking it to the lab.

Ironically, it was my first ever Lomography walk. I'm on their mailing list and I do get the emails, but I'd never bothered to get out and actually attend. It was funny that I attended one accidentally today.
