Don't know any better word for that. The word 'composition' seems a little too generalistic to me and I don't exactly feel like doing a composition while shooting

I think so. But framing is used for a wider range of things I guess. Cadrage seems to be more film specific. But I am not a native english nor a native french speaker ;)
