Bajai Life Camp 18.26: Day 538

The theory that I need less sleep supported itself this morning. Spirit returned to Bod before sunrise, despite getting to sleep late. I laid in bed for an hour before realizing I could and should get the latest episode of Abstrakt 180° posted. I even made a promo, but forgot to post to d-tube. I can do that now.

Back eval... November 2018

But now, two hours later, I'm sleepy.

Up again and caught up with d-tube posts. Bitchute can come later today.

But now, off to the gym for some 5x5.

I was contemplating the relationship between weight and youth. When I was younger I was heavier, fatter, stronger and more ignorant of exercise science. Today, I've improved on all of those topics, but I'm 24 years more seasoned. I feel gravity pulling in me as I go up the hill. The Bod adjusts, but it's slower and more painful. I can do it, but it takes more effort.

I'm defiant when it comes to the crossroads of age and strength, but I hear guys taking about how they feel the difference in their mid-thirties. On the flipside, I see guys in their seventies who are jacked. Mind you, I don't actually see them... I see pictures of them, so I cannot speak with any authority. Plus I don't know how they feel when they get up in the morning, or how long their recovery takes, or even if they are on some kind of synthetic muscle-enhancing drugs.

My mentor at the Y is still at it, but has visibly lost muscle mass. That's called sarcopenea, I believe, and it might be coming my way. I'll deal with that now, as much as I can.

Had to cut a station from my 5x5x5. I want to blame the meeting, but it's my own fault for not giving myself enough time. This actually takes two hours, including the abs work, stretching and warm ups. In case you're wondering.

This is where I work!!
Starting with squats, worked up to 185 on set five, full range.
Bench press maxed to 135 lbs, where I used to start. Left shoulder is sore/achy, but shoulder therapy between sets helped.
Bent row - normal grip, worked up to about 140 lbs, quick. I can, should probably slow this down a bit.
Leg press - start about 400 lbs, to 600 lbs and felt good doing it.

Have to leave the shoulder presses for another day. Maybe tomorrow.

The meeting went well. Or so I think. Better get some dukettes together.

Walked in the rain and bought some new, comfy sweats.

Relaxed. Low calorie day/night.
