A vegan and anti-waste recipe as surprising as it is tasty!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup aquafaba
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon maple syrup
6 oz dark chocolate, melted
PREPARATION
- Whisk aquafaba with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Add lemon juice and continue beating for 5 minutes or until firm. Gently mix a third of the snow aquafaba with the maple syrup and then the chocolate. Add the remaining aquafaba to the mixture and refrigerate for 3 hours.
What is it?
Aquafaba is the liquid contained in legume cans (such as chickpeas). Whipped, it swells and snows like egg whites, making it an ideal substitute for vegans or allergy sufferers.
A good thing
1 can chickpeas (19 oz/540 ml) = 3/4 to 1 cup (180 to 250 ml) aquafaba
