Hi guys,

I decided to try my hands with homemade doughnuts instead of buying the readymade own from the store since it's been a while since I've tried making it last, I had all I needed to use at home and I had enough time in my hands to make it myself. So I gathered all my ingredients together and measured it out. I used,

  1. 3 cups of flour and more for moulding
  2. 3tablespoon of sugar
  3. 1teaspoon of salt
  4. 1 tablespoon of active yeast
  5. Milk flavour
  6. 1 egg
  7. Nutmeg
  8. Margarine

I combined all my dry ingredients together, then rubbed in my margarine, when it's well combined, I added I .my egg and a bit of warm water and mixed together to form a sticky dough.

I covered it with a damp kitchen towel and left it to rise for about 40minutes or till it doubles in size.

Then, I punched it down and moulded it into small size balls and left it to rise for another 30mimites before frying. While going I got distracted making me leave my doughnut on fire too it became a bit more brown than I could have liked but it still came out tasting wonderful.
