Hello!
Today we have noodles again. This time it is the famous Chinese "Chow Mein" — fried noodles, which can be found in almost any restaurant of the Pan-Asian type around the world.
There are a great many options for cooking this dish, so it is pointless to argue which recipe is original. If even the base (noodles) can be of absolutely different origin, what about the accompanying ingredients?
Today we will cook a Chow Mein of wheat noodles with shrimps and spinach.
Difficulty: 3/10
Cooking time: 20 min.
Number of servings: 2-3
Ingredients:
- Udon noodles (wheat), 200 gr.
- Tiger shrimps, 12 PCs.
- Cilantro, 10 gr.
- Spinach, 100 gr.
- Thai sweet sauce, 60 gr.
- Sesame oil, 20 gr.
- Soy sauce, 20 ml
- Leek, 50 gr.
- Garlic, 2-3 cloves
- Ginger, 15 gr.
- Sesame seeds, 3 gr.
- Vegetable oil, salt
Cut the leeks into thin strips, separate the cilantro leaves from the stalks, tear the spinach into small fragments, clean the shrimps and remove the esophagus, chop the garlic and ginger finely.
Boil the noodles in boiling water for 7-8 minutes, and put in a colander.
In a frying pan or wok, heat 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil and fry the garlic and ginger for 10 seconds.
Add the noodles, stir and fry for two minutes.
Add spinach, leek, soy sauce and fry, stirring for another two minutes, add sesame oil, salt to taste and arrange in bowls.
Add a little vegetable oil to the pan and fry the shrimps over high heat for a minute.
Add half the Thai sweet sauce and fry for another minute and a half.
Spread the prawns on the noodles and serve with the remaining sweet sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds and cilantro.
Bon appetit!
