Hello!
Once promised to cook all kinds of khachapuri. Finally I cook the next one.
Today we will make the famous "boats" with egg, i.e. khachapuri in Adjarian.
Difficulty: 4/10
Cooking time: 1 hour, 25 min.
Number of servings: 3
Ingredients:
Dough
- Flour, 375 gr.
- Milk, 200 ml
- Sour cream, 70 gr.
- Yeast, 20 gr. (or 6 gr. dry)
- Sugar, 1.5 tsp.
- Salt, 1 tsp.
** Filling**
- Suluguni cheese, 330 gr.
- Butter, 50 gr.
- Eggs, 4 PCs.
If you haven't Suluguni cheese, you can use solid Mozzarella - they are similar.
Preheat the milk to 40-45°C, add sugar, dissolve the yeast and let it stand for five minutes.
Add sour cream, flour, salt, knead the dough, cover and put in a warm place for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 230-250°C.
Divide the dough into three parts and roll each to a thickness of 5-7 mm.
Grate the cheese on a large grater, divide into two halves and spread the one half on the edges.
Wrap the edges.
Twist the ends, forming "boats" and shift to the baking sheet. In the center put the second half of the cheese, grease with the yolk of one egg and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
In the recesses in the center, break the eggs, salt a little and put khachapuri back in the oven for five minutes, so that the egg whites turns white, and the yolks remains liquid.
Put a piece of butter on top and serve immediately.
Mix the egg, butter and cheese in the center, pinch off a piece of hot bread from the edges, dip in the egg-cheese mixture and eat, enjoying a wonderful dish of Georgian cuisine.
Bon appetit!
