Harvesting

in food •  5 years ago

Hi Friends,

I am happy to report the first jalapenos from my garden have started to ripen and a couple have now been harvested! So far, the jalapenos have not been as spicy as last year, but maybe I am overanxious and picking them too soon?

Regardless, I call this a success so far, and have been incorporating them into different dishes already. Here is a Morocan spiced chicken with freshly sauteed jalapenos on top:

Quite delicious - I am enjoying the fruit of my labor! (all I do is water the plants, so perhaps that is a stretch). Here is a shot of my jalapeno plant:

Fun stuff - I also believe my garlic is getting closer to harvesting so I am crossing my fingers on that one.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Brian

I use to grow the peppers, until I looked at the price at the store. 79cents per pound. So I now grow other things.

Why grow anything other than the best?
