Smoker

in food •  4 years ago

Hi Friends,

I decided to pull out the smoker and cook up some meat. I picked up some 3 bone, cross cut, beef short ribs and a small flap brisket. I plugged in the electric smoker and added hickory wood chips and got to work.

I spoked the ribs for about 5 hours and the brisket was done in about 6.5 hours because it was fairly small. Here was the finished product:

Soo good! The beef was tender and both cuts have good amounts of fat that really add to the consistency and flavor. Beef ribs are a big pain, but they probably my favorite thing to eat on the cow.

Here are some progress shots:

Good stuff! Need to do this more often!
