Nice contest! For this I would nominate Hollandse Nieuwe (Soused herring).
Here in the Netherlands we eat it as a snack, raw and served with some unions . We lift the herring by its tail and eat it upwards above your mouth. Every year many people in my country are looking forward till the moment is there the new shipments arrive in the harbor. This day is called vlaggetjesdag. We have a auction for the first keg (in it approx 45 herringen). The income will be payed out to a charity (every year another charity).
Name: Soused Herring
Country: Netherlands
Price: 1pc for 2.85 euro / 4.5 USD / 11.9 STEEM
A great tradition! I really like the fact that you combine food with charity! 👍
Thank you for your entry @dikkie!
