Indian Traditional KOLLU RASAM

 Today also I come with very popular dish KOLLU RASAM or HORSE GRAM RASAM.

   I think all of you know about this horse gram.This dish is famous in Andhra and TamilNadu also.This dish is made in Sivarathri in villages.
 
 Before go to the recipe I give some information about this.Kollu Rasam Recipe is a wholesome recipe of rasam made from horse gram.  It is rich in taste and at the same time rich in protein and iron apart and has high antioxidant capacities along with hemagluttinin which is a substance found in antibodies and autoimmune functions.

Now we go to the recipe :-

INGREDIENTS. :-

  • KOLLU/horse gram. : 1 cup

  • water. : 3 cup

-oil. : 1 tsp

  • Garlic : 6 cloves

  • Cummin seeds /Jeerakum. : 1 tsp

  • Tamatoes : 1 finely chopped

  • Green Chillies : 1

,- Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp

  • chilli powder. : 1 tsp

  • Salt. : as required

  • Suger :1/4 tsp

  • Tamarind pulp. : 2-2 1/2 table spoon

  • Coriander leaves : a bunch of hand and finely chopped

FOR SEASONING. :-

  • Oil : 1 tsp

  • mustard seeds. : 1/2 tsp

-cummin seeds : 1/2 tsp

  • curry leaves : a spring

  • asafetida : a pinch

PREPARATION. :-

STEP 1 :-

  This is very simple recipe and tasty also.

Wash and douse horse gram overnight in frosty water. You can absorb horse gram bubbling boiling water for only 30 mins as well.. You use both of this method also.

STEP 2 :-

 Take the depleted stallion gram in a weight cooker. Cover with water and weight cook till done. 

(I) on the off chance that you are dousing it overnight, at that point weight cook it for 3 whistle,simmer for 10 mins. Kill the warmth and let the weight go without anyone else's input.

(ii) If you are absorbing it high temp water for 30 mins, at that point weight cook it for 5 shriek, stew for 15 mins, kill the warmth and let the weight go independent from anyone else.

STEP. 3 :-

Once the horsegram is cooked, deplete it. Hold the fluid. You can utilize the cooked horsegram to make sundal.

After drain this horse gram then we get liquid. This liquid we use for mankind RASAM.

STEP 4 :-

 Take garlic and cumin in a blender and make it into a coarse blend. Just crush it that's all .

STEP 5 :-

  Then we warmth oil in a sauce skillet, include the pounded garlic and cumin seeds. Saute for a min,

Hear we fry them to get this stage

STEP 6 :-

After that we Include tomatoes and green chillies. Saute for 5 min or something like that.given image.

STEP 7 :-

 In this stage we include stew and turmeric powder alongside salt and sugar. Blend well.

Then we fry them in 2 minutes

STEP 8 :-

In this stage we Include tamarind mash and the cooking water of steed gram. Include more water if necessary.

Hear we add horse gram liquid

Then we mix them very well.

STEP 9 :-

  Blend everything extremely well and convey it to bubble. when it begins to bubble, kill the warmth and include new coriander leaves and blend well.

STEP 10 :-

Presently make the flavoring, by warming oil and include all the flavoring fixings. Give it a chance to sizzle for a min. Pour this over the rasam and blend well.
