Right folks,
I made these two days in a row.
Sort of like Italian doughnuts.
Make a pasta dough, cut them and deep fry them and then liberally dust with icing sugar.
Here is the recipe:
300g Plain Flour
150g Self Raising Flour
3 Eggs
2 Shots of Brandy
Zest of 1 orange
Zest of 1 Lemon
Juice of 1 Lemon
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Mix together and knead until a dough is formed.
Chill for 30 minutes in the fridge. Then begin to roll through a pasta machine until size number 4.
Then cut into strips, make a hole in the middle and fold one end through for a bit of design.
Then fry for 40 seconds each side in some very hot oil (180 centigrade)
They were lovely.
